So 2014 has finally got into full swing amongst a barrage of stormy weather but here at DT HQ we see that as no reason to be down as we’ve got just the thing to brighten up your day and revive those summer vibes with an mini-mix of the latest EP from one of electronica’s fastest rising stars: Clancy.

For those of you not yet familiar with the DJ and producer, Clancy has been doing the industry rounds of late as he gathers hype as one of the acts to watch over the coming year for his heady amalgamation of 80s electronica and 90s/00s house/disco and absolutely tore the roof of our Class Of 2014 party.

Hailing from Manchester but now residing in London, Clancy has been building a loyal following of electronic dance loving fans since making the journey down south and with remixes for the likes of Little Dragon and Robyn and finding his productions receiving support from names as illustrious as Tensnake, Pete Tong and Mighty Mouse then it appears that the man from the rainy city has an incredibly bright future ahead of him.

Entitled ‘Overdue’ it’s the second release from Clancy on the new Dirt Crew sub label S P I E L and serves as the follow up to his excellent debut EP that was released in September last year.

So without further ado check out this mix of the EP below. It’s been in our heads and on our playlists for a while now!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
