Holland’s San Proper is one of the most inspiring and passionate musicians you will meet in electronic music. His love for the music and the party is apparent within the first couple of minutes of talking to him or seeing him DJ, as is his colourful persona. With a run of releases on record labels including Perlon, Dekmantel and Rush Hour over the course of around fifteen years, San Proper has indisputably staked his claim amongst the ever-growing contingent of quality artists from the Netherlands. Having worked as a DJ globally and worked on productions with Ricardo Villalobos and Laurent Garnier he is currently in the midst of launching his own Proper’s Cult (named after his club night) imprint and has now finally shared details of his inaugural release.

Entitled ‘The Culture EP’ the release continues to push San’s particularly flamboyant take on house music with 4 fresh cuts combining his love of analogue sounds, instrumentation and penchant for unusually inspired vocals. Set to drop this month you can check out the tracklisting below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
