RMS drops his ‘Butoh’ EP on Rebel Music

Share

The 9th release on London based label Rebel Music‘s fast growing catalogue is the heavyweight ‘Butoh’ EP. Four tracks of rawness from Canada’s own RMS. The project sees friends SL8R and Close also collaborate with the Toronto native for this impressive debut.

Paul Currie aka RMS was first introduced to jungle/dnb back in 1998. From that day on he has spent his time practising and honing his skills on the turntables. It wasn’t until around 2010 that he started experimenting with the production side of things. Since then he has released on an array of labels.

On this new offering you can expect a breakbeat excursion from the in your face breaks and bass of ‘Life Goes On’, the sub low stepper, title track and our premiere ‘Butoh’ for the skankers, Reggae tinged vibes from ‘Scare Dem’ and the rolling ‘Jah Rule’.

With previous releases on Tech Itch, Dread, Delta 9 and Chronic amongst his discography, you know it’s coming hard and heavy!

Rebel Music are launching their new club night this Friday at Lightbox. Find out more about it and grab tickets here
