Premiere: ONYVA – Disco Got His Revenge

Hailing from Manchester, DJ / producer ONYVA, (Oliver to his mum) has quickly established a solid reputation by supplying a steady succession of quality releases aimed squarely at the dance floor. He continues to gather serious momentum for his ON IT Recordings label with a brand new single of his own.

Our debut transmission ‘Disco Got His Revenge’ sees ONYVA take the mighty ‘Disco’s Revenge’ classic sample, immerse it in some of his unique power-house wizardry and plant it firmly in the feel good Tech House arena. Taking the remix controls are upcoming duo and ON IT label mates, Hott Like Detroit, who get set to smash the floor with their driving, energetic Tech-stomper.

“‘Disco Revenge’ has always been a classic of classics for me and that riff is stand out. I felt it would work to use that original Harvey Mason sample and build it into a more modern tech focused dancefloor roller with a tight groove and modern arrangement. I didn’t want to lose that riff, but keep it on the right side of cheesy. I think it worked!” -ONYVA
