Phonica Enlists Four Tet, Legowelt, Midland, Special Request And Others For 10 Year Anniversary Comp

After opening its doors on Poland Street back in 2003 London’s Phonica Records quickly forged a reputation not only as one of the best record stores for electronic music in the city but the world. After becoming embedded in the culture of all things electronic in the capital, the brick-and-mortar vinyl shop in Soho has decided to celebrate a decade in the business with an upcoming three-disc compilation.

Enlisting a typically varied and talented array of different artists, the release is spread over 3 separate LPs with the first two parts collating a host of exclusive new cuts from names such as Legowelt, Roman Flugel, Moire, Mr. G, I:Cube, Joakim, Juju & Jordash and In Flagranti amongst other. The final disc then gathers a collection of tracks released by the label arm of Phonica Records over the years and features remixes from the likes of Four Tet and Kassem Mosse alongside original cuts from Midland and Polymath. Here’s to the next ten years guys!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
