For those of you who thought electronic music in Croatia didn’t extend beyond Hideout and Dimensions there is exciting album news coming from the Balkans state as Zagreb based techno don Petar Dundov has revealed plans to release a thrird studio album entitled Sailing Off The Grid.

The Dalmatian coast has become famour in recent years for hosting some of electronic music’s coolest names from around the world but at DT we think it’s a crying shame that some of the countries home-grown talents sometimes get overlooked on the international stage and think Petar is an artist long overdue some mainstream recognition. Think of him as Croatian Joey Beltram and you wouldn’t be far off realizing his importance to the Croatian scene and considering we’re huge fans of the ‘Energy Flash’ producer that’s high praise indeed from us.

The new LP will be released via Belgian label Music Man Records which also released his debut and sophomore albums Escapements and last years Ideas From The Pond. Produced in Dundov’s Neumatik studio in Zagreb the new album is being billed as a further showcasing his signature sound and “invokes the spirit of classic ambient and synth-based music of decades gone by.”

Set for release on vinyl and CD on September 2nd we have high hope for the work. Exciting times…

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
