PBR Streetgang remix Charlotte OC ‘This Pain’

Consistently championed by BBC Introducing Lancashire, Charlotte OC has the backing of Elton JohnHuw StephensThe IndependentMahoganyMTV UK & BBC Radio 2 to name a few.

Having released her Oh The Agony, Oh The Ecstasy EP back in May, Charlotte OC has now called upon an array of electronic producers to transform her alt-pop ballads into underground offerings. PBR Streetgang are first in line, delivering their rendition of ‘This Pain’. PBR Streetgang previous remixed Charlotte OC’s ‘Colour My Heart‘ which we premiered on Data Transmission – which we still LOVE to this day.

Leeds-based house duo Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe have been working together as PBR Streetgang for over 15 years now. They cut their musical teeth on their home city’s infamous nightlife and developing into an act that’s equally known for their quality studio output on labels like 20:20 Vision and Futureboogie, as well as their reputation for using the back-to-back setup to maximum dynamic effect in their DJ performances.

They said “Our Relationship with Charlotte OC goes back a long way from the north of England club scene to our shared love of Berlin’s dance floors. Our remix tries to capture that. A sultry Italo work out, influenced by Cocktail D’amoure, exercising the pain of lost love.”

We were super excited when this new remix landed in our inbox, so had to put it up. Check out their latest remix below or listen on Spotify | Apple Music

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
