PANGAEA8-HIGH.jpg

Earlier in the year you may remember our excitement at London clubbing institution Fabric revealing that Hessle Audio co-founder Pangaea had mixed an edition of their acclaimed FabricLive compilation series and as evidenced by us selecting it as our album of the month we we’re suitably impressed by his stint at the helm. The announcement saw Pangaea follow on from label mates Ben UFO and Pearson Sound who had already helmed previous incarnations of the well renowned CD.

But Hessle Audio isn’t his only imprint that Pangaea can lay claim to incepting with the launch of solo imprint Hadal last summer; of which the opening effort the Viaduct EP still gets plenty of love in the DT office. Unfortunately the impressive two tracker has up until now remained the outlets only release but we’re hopeful that we’ll see the imprint grow increasingly more prolific in the coming months follwing the imminent release of the Hadal 2 EP.

With four new cuts on offer and set to arrive before the end of the month we’re excited to see what the future holds for both the label and it’s owner over the coming summer. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait until summer 2015 for Hadal’s next release!

Check out  a preview of the tracks on the Hadal 2 EP below:

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
