Move D Mixes Fabric 74

In exciting news house stalwart and Jean Michel Jarre lookalike Move D has revealed he is set to helm the 74th edition of fabric’s esteemed mix compilation.

Speaking on the mix David Moufang says the inspiration for his segment of the ongoing series came from his sets at Freerotation a few years back  in which he had a quasi-spiritual set of musical epiphanies. In typical Move D style the tracklist shuns the work of big-name artists instead preferring to shine a spotlight on some of the scenes more criminally overlooked numbers such as opening gambit ‘Under Tha Sun’ by Roy Davis Jr or Last Magpie’s ‘Roots’ before adding in an exclusive new cut of his own entitled ‘Luvbyrds’.

The mix is clearly a milestone in Moufang’s illustrious career with the London club clearly holding a special place in his heart as he notes saying “The first time I heard about fabric was through an old friend, Peter (Baby) Ford—it must have been the early 2000s—way before I ever got booked to play there… He told me about fabric being the only good club left in London, supporting the underground scene, which by its nature made the event something very special to me, and it still is. Playing Room One or Room Three in fabric is quite an experience for every DJ—the same most likely counts for Room Two too, I just never happened to play there myself.”
