Deadmau5 Quits Soundcloud

 We’ve not been into the new year that long and it already seems it has become another day, another news story regarding Deadmau5. After quite an eventful 2013 for Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman after a very public falling out with U.S based EDM powerhouse Ultra Records and various Twitter beefs Deadmau5 thanked fans for their continued support with a series of free download and since then embarked upon a particularly prolific period in the studio uploading regularly uploading new material for his fans to check out on his SoundCloud page.

These heady days of new content being provided for free by the free-speaking Canadian motormouth seem to have to come to an end with the Mau5 deleting his Soundcloud page. Unlike many of the mouse head wearing producers career moves the motives for this decision are obvious with Joel clearly looking to drive more fans to become ‘suckscribers’ over at his new subscription service live.deadmau5.com if they want to hear his latest musings.

Deleting his soundcloud page is a big risk as it sees him bidding farewell to over 400,000 followers and 33 million plays with the page now reading: “fuckmylife hasn’t shared any public sounds.”

The move comes on the back of Joel’s announcement that he has completed his forthcoming two disc album and has ratcheted up excitement ahead of the seemingly not too distant release. We look forward to hearing it!
