Mikx & Khaki drop their summertime EP ‘Wishing’

Share

Mikx & Khaki have dropped their massive summertime EP, ‘Wishing’, on Marylebone Records.

The two-track EP delivers two huge dancefloor bangers, each with a unique sound. Wishing’s summery, piano house vibes, big chords and cut up vocals is everything we’ve come to expect and more from the Blackpool-based DJ duo. The second track on the EP – the Voice – delves towards the darker, progressive and melodic side of their productions.

Mikx & Khaki, AKA Ash and Mike McGough said: “We’ve used a range of sounds in this EP, taking influences from the variety of dance music we are into. At the start of our career, we were progressive and electro house fanatics, which is noticeable in The Voice. With Wishing we built on the sound of our previous track Wes, which gained huge endorsements from both DJs and radio stations.”

The brothers latest track received support from heavy-weight DJs Mason Maynard and Judge Jules as well as plays on Rinse FM and Solardo’s Higher Festival in Croatia.

Wishing EP drops on all platforms on 13th August 2021 and you can grab it from Beatport.
