When our friends at London based imprint Ninja Tune revealed that they had added Berlin-based producer Machinedrum to their arsenal of acts we instantly expected big things and today we get to hear some of the material he’s been working on for the imprint.

Machinedrum, real name Travis Stewart has seen his career take a fairly meteoric rise upwards over the last few years with the release of a critically acclaimed solo album in Room(s) and equally praised collaborative work with a plethora of different acts from across the musical spectrum from Sharma and Jimmy Edgar all the way to RnB motormouth Azealia Banks in addition to starting a collaborative project with Edgar under the joint moniker of Jets and a label entitled Ultramajic which the pairing now run together.

Now Machinedrum has finally revealed that he is set to follow up his esteemed 2011 album, the Rooms LP and that it will have a novel concept behind it. Entitled ‘Vapor City’ the new full length will see each track represent a different district in the ‘city’.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
