Legowelt and KWC 92 To Release On L.I.E.S

Some people think there is no such thing as a good or white lie and honest people that we are we’d be inclined to agree if it wasn’t for the New York based imprint L.I.E.S as the Brookyln outifit have a stonker of a back catalogue and remain as committed to the underground as they ever were.

In the era of the mainstream it’s good to see that there are certain outlets that aren’t willing to compromise in pursuit of the almighty dollar and on that positive note may we present to you news that arguably electronic music’s most interesting man, analogue techno enthusiast Legowelt and the powerhouse collaborative duo of Samo DJ and Max Stenerudh as KWC 92 have been confirmed as the latest acts to step up to release for the imprint this November. Entitled ‘Teen Romance’ Legowelt’s forthcoming effort sees the techno maverick produce three new tracks billed as “floor-ready cuts full of soul, deepness, wooly basslines, beating drums, and those signature Legowelt melodies,” whilst KWC 92 deliver a “[conceptual] soundtrack to a movie set in Kowloon’s Walled City, a densely populated, ungoverned area that was demolished by authorities in 1993.”  Called ‘Dream of The Walled City’ the record promises to explore the more abstract reaches of electronica in keeping with the two producers experimental styles. We’ll be looking forward to both records dropping this November.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
