Good news for fans of  German producer Lawrence as the Dial Records founder has unveiled plans to release a new full length album on September 17th. Entitled Films & Windows we suspected that a new LP may be in the works when recently interviewing Lawrence’s Dial label-mate and  Berlin based artist Dor Levi who hinted to us that his label boss may have had some interesting new content in the works ahead of his performance at a showcase for the imprint at London’s Oval Space.

Born Peter Kertsten, it will be the 6th full length effort from Lawrence and will be released on his own Dial imprint which he runs alongside Carsten Jost in the vibrant city of Hamburg.  Bizarrely the release marks a return to his own label after releasing his previous two album via Japanese outfit Mule following his opening three albums being put out on his own label. Reportedly “inspired by an endless number of screened movies and real-life films” we can’t wait to get our hands on a copy and give it a running through as the work amounts to the third full length release seen on Dial in 2013 which we expect to maintain the fierce level of quality the outlet has become known for over the years.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
