Josh Wink delivers acid anthem ‘Selecta’

Legendary Philadelphia-born producer, Josh Wink, has unveiled his latest afterhours weapon, ‘Selecta’,  via his very own Ovum Recordings.

One of our favourite producers, whose burgeoning career stretches all the way back to the 80’s, Josh has proved himself as the King of longevity and for that matter acid house, he has produce a wide varied range of tracks over the years, including some of our faves ‘516 Acid” the haunting “Don’t Laugh”, “Higher State of Consciousness” and “I’m Ready”.

“I got into this because it was something that I lived and ate and breathed,” Wink says. “There was so much passion for the music, there was nothing else for me. Whatever notoriety and success had come from this, it’s kind of a mistake, a by product, and I never planned for that. I never knew I could make a living from doing what I loved when I was a teenager; my parents thought it was a fad, actually.”

Get this on loud this morning!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
