If there was a mark of quality when it came to making experimental electronic music then we’d imagine it would look an awful lot like the Warp Records logo as the seminal British imprint has been putting out some of the best unconventional releases in the scene over the labels illustrious history. Thus you can imagine our excitement when the news broke last year that Warp had signed up Chicago based rapper and beatsmith Jeremiah Jae to add his unique brand of space-tinged hip hop to their back catalogue.

We’ve long been admirers of Jeremiah take on electronic music’s most commercialized genre and were glad to see him garner plaudits for his excellent tribute set to J Dilla entitled Eating Donuts and other Refined Foods.  The Chi-town man is however probably best known for his close affiliation with Flying Lotus and his Brainfeeder outlet who have released the Rappayamatantra EP and his debut album, Raw Money Raps.  Now to help us kickstart out week the Black Jungle Squad founder has offered up fresh mixtape  entitled ‘Good Times’ to signal his intent for the coming summer.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
