For those of you less than familiar with the many excellent nights that run across electronic music metropolis Berlin may we explain to you the concept behind one of the nights that rocks the German capital on a monthly basis: Homopatik. In short anything goes, freedom of expression and chilled out free thinking vibes are the order of the day, which the parties often run on well into- think early Berghain with less of a queue, structure and even more of an emphasis on partying and having a good time and you’ll have some idea of what Hompatik is about.

With such a reputation in one of the worlds most competitive nightlife scenes in was only a matter of time before the promotional outfit harnassed their creative credibility into musical imprint form and have now informed us of their plans to launch a new vinyl only record label entitled Homophilics. The new label isn’t an entirely new venture as Homopatik founder Francesco De Nittis and his team have been pressing records privately for close friends for a while. The new endeavor will be the first time the crew makes their output available for the general public with the first release  being a 2 track EP being credited simply to the Homopatik Crew and its 500 copies being distributed by Wordandsound. Sounds exciting to us…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
