Hernan Cattaneo Mixes Balance 026

Balance Music have revealed internationally respected DJ Hernan Cattaneo has mixed their forthcoming ‘Balance 026’ compilation. The second mix released by the esteemed Aussie series in as many months, the release follows on from the legendary Danny Tenaglia’s 25th instalment which arrives mid September.

As long term admirers of the Argentine we’re eager to see what he has conjures up with the compilation promising to touch upon the various stages and sounds of his illustrious career. Spread across 2 discs and featuring 34 tracks features a veritable smorgasbord of talent from across the electronic spectrum with everyone from Boards Of Canada and Mano Le Tough to Moderat and The Field making the cut. Perhaps most excitingly Hernan has also revealed that a number of friends within the industry have delivered fresh incarnations of their tracks especially for the mix explaining: “I started asking some producer friends to make special versions of some of their tracks for the albums, and I’ve been very pleased with the results. I really like the way those tracks interact with the others and in many cases, the new downtempo mixes are even better than the original ones.”
