Gottwood Festival Launches Talent Search

Wholly independent boutique electronic music festival and DT favorite Gottwood has announced a new contest in keeping with their commitment to showcasing the best underground talent and stars of tomorrow. Set within idyllic Welsh Woodland, and next to the sandy beaches of the Irish Sea  the prize of a set at Gottwood and a chance to show off your skills as a budding and emerging DJ talent will be sure to appeal to many and we can only hope the quality of entries remains as high as in previous years.

The competition opens Tuesday February 26, and is open until March 28. The best 10 entries – as chosen by Gottwood – will then be presented in a Facebook poll and on the Gottwood Soundcloud page. Prizes for the winner include a ticket to Gottwood, a peak-time set at the festival, and a release on the Gottwood Presents Podcast series – and two runners up can also play the festival.

For entry prospective DJs and producers should submit their mixes – original mixes, no rip-offs, and preferably something that is done with two  turntables/CDJs and a mixer – to Gottwood Festival via download link to info@gottwood.co.uk.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
