As you may have guessed from our extensive coverage, we’re quite the fans of Four Tet here at DT. Whether it be the surprise release of a new album, giving away a classic mix in response to a label overstepping the mark or reworking Michael Jackson into something new Kieran never fails to impress.

Now the no-nonsense producer has re-imagined pop songstress Ellie Goulding’s chart hit ‘Burn’ and uploaded it to his SoundCloud page. Unrecognisable from the original bar the vocals, Four Tet whose real name is Kieran Hebden has entitled the “I got this song Burn stuck in my head so I did a remix and Ellie DMed me and she’s into it” which we would imagine neatly summarises how it came about.

It’s an excellent take on the catchy pop number and we’re pleased to hear that Ellie likes it too. Now if we could just make more chart music sound like this…

Listen to the remix for yourself below:

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
