Exclusive Premiere: Memory9 – The Abyss Within (H-Sik Remix)

Memory9, aka Italian born Gadi Sassoon, has just dropped his brand new single ‘The Abyss Within’ from the EP of the same name via Mnemonic Dojo and to celebrate the release we’re premiering the H-Sik remix that is set to feature on the EP here on DT.

For those of you less than familiar with Memory9, he’s been one we’ve earmarked at DT as an act to watch both for the rest of 2013 and beyond with his combination of expert control of live electronics and organic musicianship in a way we’ve not seen since Amon Tobin blew us several away years ago. With the cinematics of Squarepusher, the edge of Machinedrum and the jungle and modal jazz influences of a young Aphex Twin, Memory9 is a name you’ll be hearing plenty more of over the coming years and with his last single ‘Black Dragon’ selling out in under 3 days worldwide and winning the praise of some of the scenes biggest names such as Laurent Garnier and Coldcut’s Jon More it appears we’re not alone in our opinion.  Remember where you heard him first…
