DT Loves… The Weekend

Krafty Kuts & Atomic Hooligan at Chic Bar (Friday – Hertfordshire)

This promises to be an absolute banger. Seriously – from start to finish. Not only do we have the very best in local breaks & bass talent (and that is the truth!!) but they also have TWO super heavy weights of the scene coming to showcase their skills for what promises to be yet another special night at chic bar. On the night you will see Krafty Kuts, Atomic Hooligan, Baratone, Ash Reynolds and Cam James. Get down before 11pm, and entry is 100% FREE. If you can’t make it down by then, its only £7 after. For the calibre of artists on show here for this night, even the most hard nose tight fisted so and so couldn’t argue with this.

Derelicht finally touches down in Ipswich after an eagerly anticipated 4 months since our official launch. By now you may have realised that they don’t do normal, hence their first event showcases 3 Artists at the top of their game all playing 3hr sets. To avoid any pre-manufactured 2hr sets they have set the artists a challenge to develop a more engaging and immersive sound which we hope you will all love. First up is our Resident-in-Chief, ThermalBear! With releases on Sasha’s “Last Night On Earth” imprint and major involvement with the eagerly anticipated Involv3r realease, 2013 is set to be a big year for our resident. We’re just happy to have him onboard and cannot wait to be educated by such an emerging electronic talent. Developing the evening further will be Auntie Flo, hailing from glasgow (via Goa) Mr Flo is in high demand having recent releases on uber-cool label Huntleys & Palmers in addition to running his own Highlife night at the legendary SubClub. Following his outstanding recent Boiler room appearance and RA Podcast we are proud to have Auntie Flo onboard and fully anticipate being blown away musically. And finally punk inspired, leading techno Irishman, label owner and figurehead of Octopus RecordsSIAN. Since hearing SIAN’s releases on Pokerflat & Bedrock, championed by the mighty John Digweed, we have been blown away by SIAN’s epic productions and sweat infused marathon sets. We only hope we get a taste on the night of what SIAN is capable of. So hopefully your on board, get your tickets now

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
