Return To Mono – Hans Bouffmyhre & Lindsay Green (Friday – Glasgow)

With Slam on tour they are happy to be able to take the opportunity to present 2 of the best techno DJs on the Glasgow scene at Return To Mono. Hans Bouffmyhre is a young man from Paisley with a worrying obsession for techno music. Hans started his career in Glasgow in 2006 organising Sleaze where he booked and played alongside some great DJs including Andrew Weatherall, Funk D’ Void, Chloe, Radio Slave, Johannes Heil, Extrawelt, Phil Keiran, Len Faki & Par Grindvik. In 2007, he started making his own tracks and now has released a string of records as long as his arm, on many underground labels including Perc Trax, Viva Music, Soma, Synewave, Harthouse, 8 Sided Dice, Analytictrail as well as his own label Sleaze Records, along the way garnering support from some of the biggest names in Techno, including Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Len Faki, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Laurent Garnier, Stephan Bodzin and Joris Voorn. Also from Paisley, Lindsay Green is another young local DJ who began spinning as recently as August 2010 when her love of Techno and vast knowledge of music drove her to invest in a set of decks. She rapidly demonstrated her mixing abilities and confidence behind the decks at a number of local parties and clubs, with the capability, drive and determination needed to impress the Glasgow scene.

To call Andrew Weatherall a legend doesn’t begin to do justice to the accomplishments of one of the worlds most pioneering DJs. Having played our subterranean inner space virtually every year since the earth was flat, he knows exactly how and when to push the buttons to ignite our underground rocket engines. Few electronic artists have experienced such a meteoric rise into the spotlight, as male/female production duo Leon Baggotts & Claire Spooner, AKA Him_Self_Her. The pair had clocked up almost ten years of hard graft as solo artists; DJing in sweaty back rooms, plastering Leicester city centre with posters and struggling against a tired Midlands club scene, before they made the life changing decision to work together.
