Electronic pioneer DJ Shadow has announced the formation of his brand new label Liquid Amber, launching with a new EP from the man himself.

According to shadow, the ‘Liquid Amber’ EP is and “opening salvo in what I hope is a long string of music, by myself and others, on my new imprint.” Going on to explain the productions, Shadow describes ‘Ghost Town’ as “an ambitious ride through many of the micro-genres within the future-bass umbrella that have inspired me recently”, whilst ‘Mob’ offers “an intentionally stripped-down, Cali-certified head-nodder.” Sounds good to us, plus with a Machinedrum remix of Shadow’s classic ‘Six Days’ thrown in for good measure, Liquid Amber is certainly off to a promising start. You can listen to the full EP below or click here and follow the instructions to grab yourself a free copy of ‘Ghost Town’.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
