Debut Transmission: Urmet K – Red Purple Blue
Whilst it might be a particularly ‘Super Tuesday’ in the US of A – our American cousins are going to the polls in 12 states to see who they want to put forward for their next presidential election – it’s always fairly super here at Data Transmission, with each day of the week promising more exclusives than Donald Trump can shake his fist at. First out of the traps today is our latest Debut Transmission, as we premiere the b-side to London based Estonian Urmet K’s two track EP for legendary New York label, King Street Sounds.
Kicking off with title track ‘Ever The Same’ featuring Pete Josef, it’s cut on the flip that really grabbed us by the throat here in our London office, with ‘Red Purple Blue’ taking our minds off of the cold snap currently enveloping the city and transporting us to a sunrise somewhere on the Dalmatian Coast, where the only thing cold is the ice in our drinks.
Having picked up early support from the likes of Vince Watson, Satin Jackets and John Monkman, we think it’s a safe bet that you’ll be hearing plenty more of both tracks as the mercury begins to rise.
