Chances are that if you’ve already encountered the work of all conquering UK bass don J:Kenzo, then you can speak volumes for his vast repertoire of forward thinking bass music, a genre he seems to have an affinity with like few others. To give the producer his dues, Kenzo’s sound has always been worlds apart from the generic and formulaic sound that proved such a burden on the genres development, and on the contrary, his is a way of working in the studio that means his music is always as fresh as it is engrossing.
On that basis, his latest outing influential dubstep outpost Tempa is another real treat. Featuring three new cuts, ‘Urban Gorilla’ sees J:Kenzo at his beat crushing best, hooking up Ghost Crew member Juiceman for the EPs title cut which we have the pleasure of premiering today. A heavyweight EP from start to finish you can check out ‘Urban Gorilla’ ahead of its March 2 release below. Top draw vibes.
