Debut Transmission: Leftwing & Kody – Ghetto Blast

Time to get lost. Fear not, we’ve not fallen out of love with you lovely readers – our affection grows for you every day – we’re talking about label founders Leftwing & Kody making their triumphant return to their own Lost imprint with the ‘Utopia’ EP.

The duo have come a long way since entering the scene in 2012, scoring releases for the likes of Hot Creations, VIVaKnee Deep and Suara whilst simultaneously holding down an Ibiza residency and touring Europe.

The new record sees the Londoners at the absolute top of their game, serving up a selection of cavernous cuts sure to warm even the coldest of hearts this March. Each of the four tracks on offers leaves its mark but for us, Ghetto Blast has to be the pick of the litter. Bass fuelled, we’ve unleashed it ourselves on a few unsuspecting crowds in recent weeks with our extensive road testing certifying this one as an absolute banger.

Warning: Listening to this track may induce sudden and involuntary movements.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
