Colin Thomas set to release his ‘Champagne Trippin’ EP

For the first time, Dark Shades Records welcome Colin Thomas from their neighbouring country Toronto, Canada. He’s been making his rounds w/ many amazing labels. He lands on the label with his ‘Champagne Trippin’ EP which is due out on 25th September.

Hailing from the City of Roses, Colin has naturally been influenced by the hip hop scene. He’s been finding his distinct stride in house music though. The result often thrives somewhere between bass house, tech house, or any variation. There’s no sense in labelling a vibe.

This past year has generated an exciting mix of releases via House of Hustle, OKNF, Nite Records and more. Whether it’s the lush, gritty nature of “Enemy,” his booty-shaking “Afters,” or frisky rhythms heard in “Too Much” — Colin Thomas consistently turns heads with his genre-bending approach.

Having made his mark in night clubs, from Detroit to Toronto. Colin Thomas continues to give the crowd exactly what they came for. With a catalogue that boasts a blend of deep cuts and late-night bangers, this rising talent guides the function with conviction.

The label says “We are pumped to have him release with us two tracks titled “Champagne” that makes u wanna feel like dancing while pop’n a bottle in the club during peak hour and “Emphasized” w/ its trippy vocals & lyrics as well as hypnotizing percs that feel just right for an after hours vibe!”

We premiere ‘Emphasized’ for you today, check it out below and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
