The Black Madonna announces One Off London Show

Share

The Black Madonna aka Marea Stamper has announced a unique London headline event on Saturday 16th December.

The Kentucky-born, Chicago-adopted and now London-based producer and DJ will take over London’s legendary York Hall venue in east London for a special day-into-night show. Running from 2pm until midnight, the event where she teams up with London promoters Krankbrother will see her performing ‘in the round’ of the beautiful neo-Georgian, grade II listed building, complete with London’s biggest sprung oak dancefloor, York Hall will be turned into a celebratory space that embraces all areas of dance music, and will feature a runway and stage to host a series of dancers and performers.

This event comes on the back of her thirteen week, sold out headline residency at London’s XOYO, accompanied by a carefully-curated line up of legends, innovators, originators and new talent (including Derrick May, Ellen Allien, Shanti Celeste, Derrick Carter, Midland, Heidi, Denis Sulta, Ben UFO, Gilles Peterson, HAAI, Mike Servito, Job Jobse and Rahaan among others) in addition to three ‘all night longs’ from The Black Madonna herself.

And all this without mentioning the epic, drama-filled 10 minute paean to the dancefloor that is ‘He Is The Voice I Hear’ – a track that was released in January.
