Applescal & Ryan Davis Launch Remix Competition



After a hot, sunny and a well deserved vacation Applescal’s imprint Atomnation are back with a new release. This time presenting a collaboration between Ryan Davis and label boss Applescal, entitled ‘Creatures. The Creatures project started in Amsterdam and got finished in Berlin. The project contains three different versions of one song and all versions were born out of a spontaneous session; each version can be seen as a further modulation and step in the whole process. The best part of the process is in your hands though, as we have all the remix parts available on our soundcloud for you to download.

Remix CompetitionWe are looking for enthusiasts who are willing to create their very own version of ‘Creatures’. We summed up some points of importance, including the prizes, where to submit your remix and where to download the MIDI / Remix Files. Please read them carefully and have fun!PRIZESThe winner receives one of the analog synths from the Korg Volca series by choice. Korg Volca are three true-analog synthesizers with built-in sequencers, to generate the ultimate analog KeysBass, and Beats into any studio or setup.Among a limited amount of runner-ups, the winner will get placed on a remix EP. This remix EP will be mastered, promoted and officially released on one of Ryan Davis’s Labels.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR REMIXSubmitting goes via THIS Soundcloud group; we listen to everything that comes in here. Sharing your remix means you have submitted officially and we can’t assure we listen to remixes that aren’t shared in this group. The deadline of submitting entries is October 8th and the winners will be announced October 17th.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
