andhim to helm Body Language 14

We love the freshest sounds here at DT and that’s why we strive to bring them to you from around the world. From Techno to Trap we set out to bring you the hottest artists at the cutting edge of their scenes.  That was why we were excited to introduce you via our podcast last year introduce you to Cologne natives and ‘Super House’ production duo andhim who had been making serious waves with their own unique take on the house genre.

Founded as a collaborative project after a time of surreal events together involving discovering a shared love of Hip Hop and turntabilsm, scratching Jazz records across Europe and facing each other in a Bavarian sausage eating contest  final wherein forming andhim seemed ‘the next logical step’. Confused? You will be but we’re sure you’ll love the phantasmagoria that accompanies the sound that has seen them take their native Germany by storm and release on labels such as Monaberry and Terminal M.

Now the pairing have announced their return for 2014 by confirming that they will be helming the the 14th edition of Get Physical`s esteemed Body Language series with tracks by Gold Panda, Axel Boman, Robag Wruhme and 2raumwohnung amongst the work which will define their curation.

“We wanted to bridge between music we love to hear while looking out of the window during a train  ride,” comments Simon of the overall theme of the mix, “music which people can start their night with. Tracks we play in our live sets and own stuff we wanted to be presented.””

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
