Share

Over the last two years, the LA party crew Gari Safari, have brought a unique themed event across the American Club scene from New York’s Output to Ecuador’s Lost Beach Club.

The all encompassing sensory experience with its soundtrack of contemporary house and techno is served up by residents and founders Anabel Englund, Human Life, Matt Ossentjuk and Mont Blvck (aka Jackson Englund, Anabel’s brother, and Diego Cuevas). Now, the team are launching their own label Gari Recs with the first release ‘Rising’, a collaboration between all parties, out on December 8th with remixes from Amtrac, wAFF and SHADED.

“Gari is about breaking down the walls that separate music into different genres and scenes,” says Matt on their ethos. “At the Gari Safari events we focus on creating an environment that you can enjoy if you are a seasoned underground electronic music fan just as easily as those who don’t find themselves out at nightclubs very often. It’s about firming that special bond and vibe with our unique followers to create something special.”

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
