Atop a gentle protuberance in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley the chosen place for herding beats can be found. This place known as the Beat-Herder festival has in recent years, along with neighbouring Beacons festival, been making good headway with strong line-ups (beat herding), retrospective favourites include Simian Mobile Disco, James Holden and Nathan Fake. This year’s the festival turns 10 and they’ve assembled a formidable and varied roster to set the scene for a rip-roarious marking of the occasion featuring the likes of the Basement Jaxx, Andrew Weatherall and Paul Woolford.
Also confirmed are true Motown legends Martha and the Vandellas, who are playing a rare UK date following a worldwide tour last year in honour of the 50th anniversary of their signature track Dancing in the Street. Looking good to us guys!
