Umax returns to Four Corners with new 2 track single

For Four Corners Music‘s 38th release they are delighted to welcome back Umax to the imprint. He is one of the most exciting new acts to rise through their ranks in recent times and someone they believe has truly huge potential.

Residing in Eastbourne, East Sussex, Umax has been a religious follower of the soulful, rolling side of Drum & Bass since the early 2000s. He was captivated by the sounds of V Recordings, Full Cycle, Soul:R and Hospital Records. DJing became a natural progression. Known for rapid paced 3 deck sets, production soon became the next logical step for Umax.

After discovering Umax through a Facebook production group they quickly signed his first single as part of their second ‘Foundations’ project. However, he then followed through with 3 more demos which impressed FCM so much they skipped the introduction on ‘Foundations’ and went straight for a full solo EP. It turned out to be a wise decision and the EP was supported by the likes of DJ Marky, LTJ Bukem, Bailey, BBC Radio 1 and Hospital Records!

Since then, Umax has been busy in the studio and with this single he’s showing us he has more than one string to his bow and that his sound is continuing to evolve and develop into something very exciting. For this release, strong throwback 90’s vibes are the order of the day! First up is ‘Feel For You’ which brings back the vocal nostalgia and classic reece bass while ‘Depth Charge’ goes straight for the jugular, proper weighty business sure to destroy any dancefloor.

This may be Umax’s best work to date, but trust us when we say this is just a taster of what’s to come!

Today, we premiere ‘Feel For You’ which literally ticks all my boxes! Check it out below and grab it from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
