Dedman drops ‘Chimes’ EP on Parallel Depth

Share

Dedman’s ‘Chimes’ EP displays the progression and maturity of the young artist with a unique sound ranging from organic to tech. ‘Chimes’ brings you an ominous, slow-rolling piece of minimal badness with a hypnotising drum groove and an earth-shaking sub.

The young artist recently stamped his mark with two serious releases on Lost Recordings and Skankandbass. Now he consolidates his place as one of the core artists within the Parallel Depth team.

His ‘Chimes’ EP is a release that displays the progression and the matureness of Dedman’s sound. Bringing depth, punch, and elegance with a unique sound that ranges from tech to organic. For this release, Dedman joins forces with two other interesting artists and his solo track titles the release.

Opening up the EP is ‘Shiftin’ which features the vocal talents of MC Messenger. It’s a dancefloor hitter with hip hop vocals flying through the pure filth. This recurrent duo have been creating some exquisite material and this is more evidence of that.

On the second track, Dedman join forces with Parallel Depth’s head honcho Montesco for a paranoid synth-drum delirium. ‘Persiste’ brings together deep and techy sounds encapsulated by an awe-inspiring concept. Closing the release is the title track and our premiere for today, ‘Chimes’. Do you know what it sounds like when someone waves a metal plate? Add distortion to the equation and the result will be the lead of this track. A brilliant take on the sound design of this song.

Dedman will surely be bringing heavy vibes through the rest of 2020 and well into 2021 as well. We’re really looking forward to watching this rising producer reach dizzying new heights!

Dedman drop his ‘Chimes’ EP on Parallel Depth on 8th September. Check out our premiere of ‘Chimes’ below and grab the EP from here
