Ryan Crosson remixes Cook Strummer’s ‘Fallen’

The music of Cook Strummer aka Max Donnet is the kind that can only come from someone with both Belgium and Berlin within him.

Channelling the post-punk synth sound of his home country’s Cold Wave movement of the late ’70s and early ’80s, Donnet has absorbed the sounds of his adopted home in Germany, taking that all-pervasive electronic music that is all around him and morphing it into something new. After Cook Strummers’ debut album ‘The Fall’, LOK Recordings’ seventh release represents four different interpretations of its single ‘Fallen’.

The original song by the Belgian singer, songwriter and producer has been reshaped by Marco Resmann, Sasse, Ryan Crosson and dOP. Each one of them delivered their unique version of ‘Fallen’ and made it possible for us to present an EP full of surprises.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
