Gabski drops his ‘Girls Like’ EP featuring a Brown Vox Remix

Short Circuit is back with its 10th release, and this time with no other than the very talented Gabski for his ‘Girls Like’ EP, which comes complete with a remix from Brown Vox.

The Brussels-born, now London-based producer’s sound revolves around infectious bass lines and dark atmospheres, always keeping that minimal feel at the forefront of his productions. With releases on labels like Andhera, Contact Music, Grooved Selects, Miffed Out & Taste Records, we’re excited to welcome him to the Short Circuit family and we’re pretty sure it won’t be the last you hear of him.

This 3 track EP is a beauty kicking off with the infectious ‘Girls Like’. A deeper sound that would work equally well in the main room, as it would in a dark after-hours. Steaming along with its jackin beats, the clever vocal sample adds an interesting twist to the lead track of this EP.

On the B-side, we have ‘Fasso Bo’, another Gabski original that just like the lead track leads on the strong beats and the infectious vocal hook. This bad boy has more of a house vibe to it, but make no mistake, this cheeky little number can do damage on its own.

Finally, we finish off this release with the remix of the title track from Israeli artist, Brown Vox, who’s previously released on the likes of Issues, Roush and Under No Illusion. He delivers a deep funky stripped back version of the original that rounds up this release very nicely.

We premiere the Brown Vox remix on Data Transmission, check out our DT Radio resident’s version below and grab it on Beatport.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
