Fabio Ferro proves the B-side still matters with ‘Rollin’’

Share

Fabio Ferro launches his new Route51 label on 24th September with the two-track ‘Yo Creo’ EP, and we’re premiering the B-side, ‘Rollin’’.

Ferro has been around long enough to know his way around a proper club record. The Italian producer has spent a decade as a Familia resident at Egg London, played Hï, Privilege and Pacha in Ibiza, and released music through the likes of Kaluki Musik and Snatch! Records.

Route51 now gives him his own space to call the shots. ‘Yo Creo’ takes the A-side with a stripped-back groove, dusty percussion and a steamy Latin vocal, but never underestimate the strength of a good B-side. ‘Rollin’’ comes in tighter and tougher, with raw percussion, hip-hop attitude, chunky low-end and filters doing just enough work to keep things moving.

Sometimes the real damage is hiding in the flip. ‘Rollin’’ feels built for exactly that moment, deeper into the night, when the room is locked and nobody needs convincing.

We’re premiering Fabio Ferro’s ‘Rollin’’ below. The full ‘Yo Creo’ EP lands on Route51 on 24th September.
