Dario D’Attis & Markus Homm join forces on ‘Fia’

Share

Long-time studio brothers Dario D’Attis and Markus Homm join forces once more for a vital new single on Moon Harbour.

German-based Markus Homm and Swiss-born Dario D’Attis have worked together numerous times before on labels such as Saved Records and Stereo Productions. They have a combined experience of over 25 years and bring all that to each and every tune. Between them, they have served up plenty of solo gems and played all of the world’s leading clubs. They bring real passion to their productions, with a focus on irresistible drums and tension between light and dark.

And that is the case on ‘Fia’, a bustling tech house tune with grainy drums and looping kick that swing low. Once you’re locked in, the gritty synth sequences bring mechanical funk and the bassline begins to spray about the mix. A subtle and soulful vocal brings the heat as this one builds and builds without ever full exploding – it’s one for those who like it deep.

With ‘Fia,’ Homm and D’Attis do a fine job of laying down a deliciously dynamic and late-night tech house sound. We premiere ‘Fia’ on Data Transmission today, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
