London gears up for Field Day 2014

Having a field day is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as “an opportunity for action or success” which having attended the London based festival of the same name for the last few years seems an approapriate way to describe the various goings on in Victoria Park each June.

Offering a veritable smorgasbord of talent from across the musical spectrum Field Day is always one of the gatherings in the capital that goes immediately into our festival schedule as a must attend and this year is no different. Boasting an all star roster that includes the likes of DT favorites Jon Hopkins, Evian Christ, Dan Avery, Jackmaster and James Holden to name but a few. Actually we’ll name a few more to highlight our various scheduling dilemmas: Simian Mobile Disco, recently DT premiered artist Charlotte OC, Tourist, SBTRK, Jamie XX, Dusky… we could go on all day naming acts we love that will be in attendance and we still haven’t even yet named the headliners Metronomy and The Pixies. Who do you see? With clashes inevitable we’re super excited at literally being spoilt for choice over the two days.
