Exhibit & Gorilla Club present Nick Curly, Rekreation, Flux Groove & Residents

On 23rd August EXHiBiT bring you a special bank holiday special at Gorilla Club Manchester! On the night you will see Nick Curly (8Bit / Cecille), ReKreation (Noir / Pura Music), Flux Groove (Kaluki) and residents.

Hailing from Mannheim, in the south-west of Germany, Nick Curly has notched up an impressive list of achievements in a career which is still only 5 years old. In 2012, he released his debut LP, ‘Between The Lines’, continued making inroads into the festival circuit over summer, as well as making debut performances at Richie Hawtin’s white-hot ENTER concept. Now, as 2013 looms, Nick says he’s ‘feeling more relaxed than ever before’ as he prepares to ramp things up a notch over the coming year. Never content to rest on his laurels, Nick’s next phase will involve a huge album remix package to be released via house titans Defected, launching a new sub-label of Cecille and, after 18 months spent fine-tuning an album of what could be lazily described as more laid-back music, returning to the club sounds which helped launch his name, with an eye to branching out on different labels and expanding his musical palette.  It all began way back when Nick was just 15, his passion for DJing landing him a residency at the legendary Vibration Club in the Karlsruhe region of Germany.

Manchester based Deep house duo ReKreation have worked closely with Disco Electronica Recordings, Witty Tunes and Selected Records as well as securing releases on established labels such as Abstract Theory, Save You Records, Pura Music & Deep Edition too name a few. Recognising their growing success, in late 2010 UK body access to Music nominated them as top 3 producers in the UK, which was great recognition for the work that had been put in, in the studio. As well as production, ReKreation have kept busy on the DJ circuit over the past couple of years continuing to bring their unique sound to the scene. Their music is supported by the likes of James Teej, Huxley, Deepchild, Saytek & many others, as well as frequently being featured & charted on Global Download stores. Their latest release on NM2 (Noir’s sister label) called ‘Before Me’ with remixes by Dj Le Roi and Leftwing & Kody is available now.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
