Croatian Festival Guide 2013
Outlook, 29th August- 2nd September – Fort Punta Christo Pula, Croatia
One for the bass lovers outlook is set in incredible abandoned fort in the city of Pula and one of the more established festivals now in it’s sixth year. Famed for hosting weighty dub, drum & bass and hip-hop line ups the 2013 incarnation is no exception with one half of Black Star duo Talib Kweli, The Pharcyde, Mala and David Rodigan heading a monstrous line up of bass. With stages hosted by London labels Swamp 81, Rinse and Hyperdub you know you’ll be getting the freshest acts playing the best in bass music. The price of camping is probably as inexpensive as you could hope for at a bargain basement price of £9 a day, and largely contributes to the whole festival experience being one of the few festivals in the region to encourage camping. Outlook is certainly one of the rowdier festivals with- as is often the case with bass music- it attracting a slightly younger crowd but if you’re looking for a place to get a bit hyper then Outlook probably has your name written all over it.
