On Saturday 16th NovemberThe Warehouse Project will be celebrating 20 years of BBC Radio 1’s seminal Essential Mix. The Essential Mix has been hosted by Pete Tong since its inception back in 1993. Being invited to perform a two hour mix in the late hours of Friday night / Saturday morning has become one of the defining moments in any DJ’s career.

On the night Pete leads proceedings playing back to back with Eats Everything, then joined by Sasha, the only artist to have achieved Essential Mix Of The Year twice, BOOKA SHADE who will be playing LIVE, then a special series of back to backs with Steve Lawler b2b Hot Since 82, James Zabiela b2b Paul Woolford, Skream b2b Jackmaster, Derrick Carter b2b Krysko and Bondax b2b Monki.Then founder of Circus Recordings YousefGorgon City, Justin Robertson, Greg Wilson, Moxie, Greg Lord, plus very special guests Rudimental (DJ Set). Special updates to this line-up still to come.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
