Share

” OdD ” is an adjective denoting the quality of being unpaired, occasional, strange or unusual, or a person who is viewed as eccentric. It may also refer to: Only drums & decks.”

For this weeks podcast we’re pleased to be able to showcase one of the fastest rising and hottest talents that our fair city of London has to offer in house music duo OdD. Both Damian Daley and Danny Dixon as their parents know them, were born into music as their fathers were Reggae musicians with this musical heritage providing the catalyst and key inspiration for their own musical careers. Then there was the fact that they both share a passion for raw drums and nasty undertones. With one member playing drums and producing music for over 10 years and the other a DJ and avid music collector their combined skills and knowledge gives OdD a distinctive sound and style which has helped forge them a fierce reputation and certainly won us over as fans. With their most recent EP ‘Long Time Coming’ on Berlin imprint Sol Asylum currently finding its way into the most discerning of record boxes and the most cutting edge of sets we thought the time was right to welcome them to DT to deliver an exclusive podcast for us.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
