Kevin McKay & Pressure Rhythm lock into the groove on ‘Together’

Share

Kevin McKay and Detroit duo Pressure Rhythm land on Glasgow Underground with ‘Together’, a warm, driving house cut built for the middle of a packed floor.

Pressure Rhythm have been working together since 2015, with releases on Kitball, Lapsus, Happy Techno, No Excuse, Material and more. Their groove was already doing the damage when Sam Dexter found the demo, but a full rebuild gave the record its final shape.

Bassline and drums sit at the centre, while chopped Fender Rhodes keys, crisp percussion and a simple vocal hook bring the lift. It is positive without getting sugary, tough enough for peak-time and loose enough to keep bodies moving.

We are premiering Kevin McKay and Pressure Rhythm’s ‘Together’ on Data Transmission.
