Kevin McKay and JOHANNSON drop ‘Do It All For You’ on Glasgow Underground this 27 March, a warm slice of organic house built for that moment when the dancefloor starts to lock in.

JOHANNSON has always had the musical side nailed. Strong melodies. Emotional chords. A natural instinct for vocals. The only question in the past was where the records sat in a set. Recently, that’s shifted. The trends have been stripped away, and the focus is back on songwriting.

‘Do It All For You’ feels like the moment it clicks.

Delicate drums roll underneath warm chord movements while the bassline keeps things moving without forcing the pace. Then the breakdown lands with a simple vocal line that lifts the whole thing, “I would do it all for you.” It’s not peak-time chaos, and it’s not background either. This sits right in that hopeful, forward part of the night when the room is warmed up and ready.

Kevin McKay’s involvement adds serious weight. The Glasgow Underground boss has been shaping house music since the early 90s, from the Muzique Tropique days through to running one of the most respected labels in the scene. He’s worked with everyone from Romanthony and Mylo to Claptone and Dennis Cruz, and the label continues to turn out club-ready records decades later.

‘Do It All For You’ fits that tradition nicely. Proper DJ music with heart and movement.

The single lands 27 March on Glasgow Underground. Give it a spin and grab it on Beatport.
