Ben Murphy joins the Spotlight Mix


A name that is constantly mentioned when talking about the new wave of artist talent on the scene is highly regarded Music Related founder, DJ & Producer – Ben Murphy.

Ben has quickly established himself as one of the UK’s rising stars on the underground House scene as his infectiously unique underground sound continues to enhance his already renowned reputation. Never one to follow, Ben has cornered the market of the unexpected as each set boasts a journey as unique as his sound. His highly energetic style of rhythmic percussion, harmonious synths and chunky basslines with occasional snippets of provoking vocals produce a bounce that simply cannot be ignored.

A wealth of experience across some of the UK’s biggest and most famous venues has culminated with Ben boasting residencies with the super colossal Solid Grooves and the influential Dawn movements plus the rapidly rising London event Alter Ego, as his following continues to gather at real pace.

On the production side, Ben has been working relentlessly. Releases on Playgroove and Berbers (Spain), Tympanic (Brazil) and Daylight Robbery (UK) have elevated his reputation furthermore with some massive support from industry heavyweights including Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, Reelow, Michael Bibi and PAWSA forming just a small part of an illustrious list.

Ben’s own imprint Music Related has amassed an almost cult following since launch, reaching the number 2 slot of labels in the Minimal Beatport chart after a string of hugely successful releases. It is clear to see the path that Ben is taking leads to only one outcome. His success is the reward for his dedication and passion to the scene with that one vital ingredient of which Ben Murphy has in abundance.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
