491 – SEFF

In such a short amount of time SEFF has already achieved so much in his musical career, with signings to some of the most respected and sought-after underground labels in the industry he has made a huge impact in the Underground House and Techno scene with his distinct crossover style of raw, underground Deep/Tech House and Techno music with tonnes of attitude, swing, swagger and packed full of energy in both his productions and skilfully constructed DJ sets.

Although a fairly new name to the underground House and Techno scene, SEFF is by far no newcomer to the underground scene as a whole. From a very early age he has been brought up in the underground scene and now for more than half of his life has been truly dedicated to perfecting his style as an artist under many different alias’.  Mindmaze Music is the brainchild of SEFF as a platform to release his own productions and other already established artists material as well as bringing fresh, new talent to the forefront to showcase their music to the masses, Mindmaze stands for true underground House and Techno music, which is why it is rapidly turning into such a great label and the favourite of many underground music lovers around the world.

We recently heard a mix on Soundcloud of his which blew us away, so dialled him up to get him on our Data Transmission podcast straight away! He we have a stunning hour of music for your listening delights today!

Sum up this podcast in 10 words
Underground, techy, filthy, progressed but also straight to the point.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Maurice Puls – Nyeri Hill on Mele’s Quadrants label is probably my favourite track on the podcast, it’s very tribal sounding which I don’t hear enough of just lately so it’s really refreshing to the ear, plus it’s just an absolute weapon of tune and has been going off in all of my sets.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
The special ingredient in this mix is the good mixture of great underground music!

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
My best gig lately probably has to be when I played for No Hassle at Gorilla in Manchester, always enjoy playing at Gorilla and Manchester in general, the crowd is always on point.

What have you got coming up?
Gig wise I have lots of good stuff coming up over the summer including a few big London gigs which i’m really looking forward to as always, getting to headline the Ministry of Sound stage at Big Festival and of-course my residency for VIVa Warriors at Sankeys in Ibiza again this season as well as a couple of other Ibiza gigs still to be announced and lots of others across Europe. Release wise you’ll just have to keep an eye on my socials as so much stuff under wraps right now that I have coming up including the re-launch of my own Mindmaze label, remixes on VIVa MUSiC, a remix for the lovely Anek girls and loads more! 😉

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
