Time to buckle in and dim the lights, RKAY’s stepping into the mix booth, and things are about to get deep, dark, and seriously atmospheric.
Born and bred in London, RKAY’s been soaking up electronic sounds since his dubstep-drenched teens. Fast-forward a few years, and he’s carved out a fierce identity in the underground, blending push and pull techno with cinematic tension, strobe-lit swagger, and that distinct London grit. His sound isn’t just mixed – it’s sculpted. Textures bend, energy swells, and every drop feels like it belongs in a misty 4am tunnel rave.
He’s fresh off a killer new EP on Aespheric LTD, London Town, which is basically a love letter to his city – one with throbbing kick drums, snarling basslines, and snapshots of London life baked into the artwork. Literally. RKAY’s also a mean photographer, and the visuals for the record are all his own lens work, captured across months of stomping the capital.
Expect moody grooves, rough rhythms, and late-night vibes – the kind of set that starts in the shadows and ends with your eyes wide shut in the middle of the floor. Whether it’s the anxious pulse of ‘Rush Hour’ or the spaced-out drift of ‘3AM On The Night Tube’, RKAY’s signature is all over it – raw, driving, and dripping with atmosphere.
This one’s for the proper heads, the warehouse warriors and after-hours lifers.
The NUDE Techno crew keeps the quality high, and RKAY’s mix is no exception.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
I’d like to describe this mix as Atmospheric, euphoric, deep, brooding with a splash of tension.
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
My personal favourite track is “Zigler – Trespass Exceeded (Shintaro Remix)
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
My secret ingredient in this mix would be taking my time. I like to subtly bring tracks in and take them out as it creates a smoother vibe especially when I’m mixing in songs with harsher frequencies. This way i can layer tracks without the mix sounding like too much is going on at one time.
Tell us about your next EP?
My next EP is centred around my experience growing up and living in his hometown of London, its my expression in techno form of how the city feels and moves. Its predominantly deep techno with dark tones to it. I also shot the photos for the cover art with my film camera to give it an authentic feel. It will be released on May 12th.
What have you got coming up?
Coming up after my London Town Ep, i’ll be releasing another project towards the end of the year. This one has a bit more warmth to it and sounds smoother than my most recent upcoming project. I’m also working with another London based artist on a few tracks, this would be my first collaboration.
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
A message i’d like to give to the readers is to listen to electronic music with an open mind and get rid of all expectations.
