NUDE200: Klaudia Gawlas

Share

We’re marking a huge milestone on NUDE Techno — our 200th mix — and we couldn’t think of anyone better to take the reins than Klaudia Gawlas, a true titan of the global techno scene.

From humble beginnings learning guitar and keyboard at age nine to experimenting with a Commodore 64 by thirteen, Gawlas’s path was destined for electronic greatness. A stint in the U.S. introduced her to psychology, radio, and the underground DJ scene, but it was her return to Europe that saw her fall headfirst into the driving rhythms of club music.

Her breakthrough came with ‘Papillon’ in 2013 — a track that catapulted her into lineups at TimeWarp, Mayday, Awakenings, Nature One, Tomorrowland, and beyond. With support from legends like Dubfire and Nicole Moudaber, Klaudia has become a powerful voice in modern techno, never losing sight of her roots.

Fresh off launching her label Illusion Recordings in 2023 and being crowned Germany’s Best National DJ, she brings that same energy to this exclusive mix, weaving hypnotic grooves and explosive peak-time energy with razor-sharp precision.

Featuring music from Arkus P., Esteban Miranda, Lenny Dee, and a hefty dose of releases from Illusion Recordings, this mix is more than a celebration — it’s a statement.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
It starts dark and dynamic and ends very powerful.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
I like all of them, I think that’s why I’ve chosen them to play. Love them.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Groovy new and old tracks, mixed with love.

Tell us about your next EP?
The Inception EP is coming soon on my own label, Illusion Records. I can’t wait to share the tracks with you—two Techno bangers.

What have you got coming up?
I play this year’s closing of MAYDAY, which means so much to me. In June, I will be in South America again, back in Argentina. I am very much looking forward to it. And yeah, it looks like it will be a busy summer. I also can’t wait to be at the Nature One Festival.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Enjoy the music and let go.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
